these creatures of twilight
pale, minor

meaningless legions

they feed on dust

drowned in caustic vapour

they adapt at the last

twisted, altered

swarm, dispersal,
on grey wings, attracted by the lights

unseen, too late
septic touch, concurrence proves fatal

ambitions godlike
acting like fools

research under pressure,
trial, error

a reckless harvest
using, wasting
excess thrown away

thoughts bent on the outcome
wilfully blinded

accumulation of corruptive agents
